Summer Update

What’s happening now?

It has been an AMAZING summer for us!  We have been so blessed by God this year and we want to first thank and praise Him for His many blessings.
Todd, Barbara and Madalyn are preparing to head back to work and school for the 2017-2018 school year. Madalyn will be starting her sophomore year of high school while Todd and Barbara will be starting their 24th and 23rd years of teaching.
Olivia is preparing to start her 1st year of college.  How did that happen? It seems just like yesterday that we were bringing our baby girl home from the hospital.
God has blessed us with many new financial partners this summer and we are very thankful for those that have been called to join us in our ministry at Campamento Evangelico de Pallatanga Ecuador. We are thankful to announce that we are now 20% funded and continue to trust that the Lord is moving us forward as his servants in Ecuador.
There are many ways to serve Ecuador.  You may Go on a short-term mission trip, or Give to the Ecuadorian mission field and as always, Pray for all those missionaries serving in Ecuador and around the world.
If you feel that God is calling you to join us, we encourage you to pray about that calling and seek his wisdom.

Reflejos

Barbara was excited to lead her first team to Pallatanga, Ecuador in June that consisted of Olivia, Madalyn and seven other women and young ladies.  We were blessed to work with the Monte Sinai church and serve girls ages 12-15.  The theme was Reflejos or Reflections.  Testimony from our group was intertwined with messages from their pastor in a way only God could orchestrate.  It was truly amazing!  Thanks to generous donations, we were able to take "fancy" dresses for each girl to find her favorite to dress up for a fun night of great food and dancing that went WAY past the "mature" ladies' bedtimes!  It was wonderful watching these girls grow in God - both the Ecuadorians and those on our team.

Manta

At the same time Barbara was in Pallatanga, Todd lead his first team to Manta, Ecuador.  Manta was at the epicenter of the devastating earthquake that struck the Ecuadorian coast in 2016.  There is still major clean-up and rebuilding to be done.  Todd's team consisted of two Canadians, four from the United States and five Ecuadorians from Iglesia La Vina in Pallatanga.  They were able to put a new roof on a church in Manta.

Moving Forward

We are blessed to have several opportunities to share about what God has been doing at Campamento Evangelico de Pallatanga, Ecuador and in our lives.  We continue to Pray for God’s guidance and His direction as we seek to follow His calling for our family.  Please join us in prayer, that God will continue to open the hearts of those whom He has chosen to join us in the ministry  of Ecuador.
There are many opportunities to Go on a short-term mission trip.  We would love to share  more with you or your church about what God is doing in Ecuador.

Would you please pray about how God wants you to participate in missions?  Would you be willing to pray about how you could support us?  We need financial partners to come alongside us.  We need people committed to praying for us.  We would love to talk with you about our call!
